Thomas is a proud SAIT alumnus, graduating with the Bachelor of Applied Technolgy in Information Systems in 2007. Since that time he has spent nearly his entire working career in information security as a consultant. He was fortunate to have strong mentors earlier on in his career and wishes to give back to the community by mentoring others.

Topic: Prepping for a career in infosec

This session's purpose is to explore the ways that students or professionals already in IT can prepare for pursuing a career in information security. Areas of practice, training, certification, and employment paths will be discussed. Time will be reserved for the curious minds to ask their questions or for other experienced professionals to share their story.
